UAF Dr. Carol Swarts CNSM Challenge
Dr. Carol Swarts urges supporters of education and scholarships to join her in backing undergraduate students in the UAF College of Natural Science and Mathematics. In honor of her friend and longtime UAF professor Kelly Drew, when 10 people support the CNSM Excellence in Undergraduate Education Fund, Dr. Swarts’ generous donation of $20,000 will be unlocked in support of the Professor Kelly Drew Physical Sciences Endowed Scholarship.

UAF College of Natural Science and Mathematics Challenge in memory of Phillip Andrews
Phillip Andrews ’19, an Eagle Scout and wildlife conservation enthusiast, pursued a master’s in wildlife ecology at UAF, studying the great gray owl’s habitat. In his memory, his father, Simon Andrews, invites alumni and friends to support UAF’s College of Natural Science and Mathematics. When 10 people give, Simon will unlock a $9,000 gift to continue Phillip’s legacy of exploration and conservation.

Calling all UAF alumni! UAF alumni from all majors play a key role in Alaska's leadership in Arctic research and innovation by using their knowledge of the state's natural environment to advance various fields. UA President Pat Pitney challenges UAF alumni to make a gift to any fund that they are most passionate about. If 450 UAF alumni donate this Giving Day, President Pitney will donate an additional $2,000 to the College of Natural Science and Mathematics to inspire UAF students towards professional careers and public service through the lens of lifelong learning.

UA Engineers Make it Happen Challenge
Alaska counts on our incredible engineers to find the solution to complex Arctic concerns. 75% of UA's grads stay in Alaska long-term, which is something to be proud of; the challenge at hand is ensuring bright students receive the support they need to enroll and graduate. Stephanie Erickson, Manager of ConocoPhillips' Greater Prudhoe Area and University of Alaska Foundation board member, challenges Alaska's engineers to be part of the solution. To represent 75% of alumni staying in Alaska, when we reach 750 donors to any program or scholarship, Stephanie will donate $2,000 split between UAA College of Engineering and UAF College of Engineering and Mines.
