Why UA Giving Day Needs You:

This year’s Giving Day theme, hide-and-seek, is all about reconnecting our alumni and communities with their universities. Champions play a pivotal role in helping us connect with new donors. Your voice makes the difference.

Help your friends find their reason to give, and earn a chance at a roundtrip Alaska Airlines voucher and a university swag bag valued at $100. The hide-and-seek excitement of UA Giving Day is March 25 at noon through March 27 at 1 pm—a special 49-hour celebration honoring Alaska, the 49th state.

What’s a Champion?

Champions are the heartbeat of Giving Day. They’re excited UAA, UAF, and UAS fans who inspire their networks to support their favorite UA programs or universities. With your help, we’re aiming to bring in 2025 donors to celebrate the year 2025, and gifts start at just $5.

When you register as a Champion, you’ll:

• Play the game: Find the inner Spirit (UAA Seawolf mascot), Nook (UAF Nanook mascot)), or Spike (UAS whale mascot) hiding in each of your friends, colleagues, and acquaintances, and help them find their reason to give. 
• Track your impact: Gifts made through your personalized referral link will show on your Champion dashboard.
• Win? As a registered champion, you'll be entered into a drawing for a roundtrip Alaska Airlines voucher. Every champion that connects at least one donor will be entered into a drawing for a swag bag valued at $100.

Champion FAQ

• Q. Do I have to register again this year?
  • A. Even if you registered as a champion last year, you must still update your registration for this year's UA Giving Day. After re-registering, you will receive an email to reset your password.
• Q. My dashboard doesn't have this year's UA Giving Day listed as an option
  • A. Clear your cookies, then enter your Dashboard through the Champion welcome email.
• Q. When can I start?
  • A. You can start spreading the word now! If you reach out to folks before March 25 at noon, we recommend asking folks to mark their calendar or review the matches and challenges, and then follow back up with the folks during the live UA Giving Day hours to remind them to make their gift. UA Giving Day ends March 27 at 1 pm.
• Q. Can I be a champion if I work for the university?
  • A. Yes!
• Q. Can I be a champion if I am a student?
  • A. Yes!
• Q. Can I be a champion if I am not an alum?
  • A. Yes!
• Q. Can I be a champion if I am under 18?
