Undergraduate Research General Support Spendable: This fund empowers students to explore research interests, cultivate the next generation of scientists, and contribute to studies of regional and global significance, driving innovation and discovery.

Whale Research and Education: This fund drives groundbreaking initiatives at the UAS Sitka Campus, advancing our understanding and conservation of these majestic creatures by supporting research, equipment, scholarships, and more—join us in safeguarding their future today.

Bald Eagle/Coastal Rain Forest Ecology: This fund enhances knowledge and conservation efforts related to Bald Eagles in the Coastal Rainforest, supporting research, education, and the eventual creation of an endowed chair in Bald Eagle Ecology.

Auke Bay Marine Mammal Research: This fund supports ongoing research on marine mammals at the University of Alaska Southeast’s Juneau Campus, advancing our understanding and conservation of these vital species.

John and Margaret Pugh Social Science Award: This fund supports UAS students in the social sciences through scholarships, internships, research opportunities, and enriching activities, empowering them to explore their passions and contribute to positive change in society.

UA Engineers Make it Happen Challenge
Alaska counts on our incredible engineers to find the solution to complex Arctic concerns. 75% of UA's grads stay in Alaska long-term, which is something to be proud of; the challenge at hand is ensuring bright students receive the support they need to enroll and graduate. Stephanie Erickson, Manager of ConocoPhillips' Greater Prudhoe Area and University of Alaska Foundation board member, challenges Alaska's engineers to be part of the solution. To represent 75% of alumni staying in Alaska, when we reach 750 donors to any program or scholarship, Stephanie will donate $2,000 split between UAA College of Engineering and UAF College of Engineering and Mines.

UA John C. Hughes Foundation for Alaska Educators
When 1500 alumni and friends donate to any program or scholarship, the John C. Hughes Foundation will contribute $10,000 to support Alaskans pursuing degrees in education across the UA system. As a founding member of the University of Alaska Foundation 50 years ago, John C. Hughes was deeply passionate about education. His lasting legacy continues to strengthen higher education in Alaska and support future educators in our great state.

When 1,000 alumni and friends donate to any program or scholarship, UA Foundation Director and Former Regent Mary K. As a University of Alaska alumna and long-time advocate for public higher education in Alaska, Mary K. understands the vital role dedicated educators play in building our state's workforce. Calling all UAF alumni! UAF alumni from all majors play a key role in Alaska's leadership in Arctic research and innovation by using their knowledge of the state's natural environment to advance various fields. UA President Pat Pitney challenges UAF alumni to make a gift to any fund that they are most passionate about. If 450 UAF alumni donate this Giving Day, President Pitney will donate an additional $2,000 to the College of Natural Science and Mathematics to inspire UAF students towards professional careers and public service through the lens of lifelong learning.
