Questions and Answers

Below you will find answers to many common questions about UA Giving Day 2026.

What is UA Giving Day?

UA Giving Day is a 49-hour celebration where we all come together to show our University of Alaska pride by giving to the areas of the university that mean the most to us.

Our fifth annual giving day starts at noon on March 24, 2026 and ends at 1 p.m. on March 26. This year, your donations of $5+ could be doubled or tripled when you help unlock over $500,000 in Match and Challenge gifts to support UAA, UAF, and UAS.

I need help making my gift!

Call or text us at:

UAS: (907) 885-6414

UAF: (907) 891-8162

UAA: (907) 341-3160

Who can participate in UA Giving Day?

Anyone! All alumni, parents, students, faculty, staff, friends, and businesses are invited to participate by making a gift on this UA Giving Day website.

How do I participate in social media challenges?

Enter to win a roundtrip Alaska Airlines voucher. Make a public post on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or the UA Giving Day website using the hashtag #49HoursForAlaska from March 16 through March 26 at 1 pm. Each post counts as a separate entry to win.

Ideas (not limiting):

-Why you donated on UA Giving Day

-A memorable experience at your university
