For 49 Hours:
Give, Share, Celebrate!
Meet Willie Hensley - Alaska Leader:
Willie Hensley was a visiting distinguished professor of public policy at UAA and one of the primary leaders behind the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act. He is pictured with historical documents relating to the passage of ANCSA during an event acknowledging the Ted Stevens Foundation's gift of the Ted Stevens ANCSA papers to the UAA/APU Consortium Library's Archives & Special Collections.
In addition to supporting the educational and research mission of the university, Archives and Special Collections has a special service mission as a community conservator of papers, photographs and documents of people, organizations, associations and businesses. Archives and Special Collections provides access to papers and records relating to the unique, diverse history of Alaska.
