By supporting the Egan Library funds listed below, you're helping students connect with critical resources and materials to help them succeed.
UASAA Friends of the Egan Library/Evening at Egan Fund: The Friends of the Egan Library network’s purpose is to plan community events in support of the Egan Library mission and define potential fundraising opportunities for continued strong support of the library mission.
UAS Learning Center: The Learning Center provides student support in their studies in any way that they need, from math and statistics support to proctored testing.
UAS Writing Center: The Writing Center hires a team of student tutors who are strong writers in their fields to mentor and advise their peers. The tutors help students master written communication through attentive, supportive assistance and a genuine interest in student success. Students come to the Writing Center to work on papers in every academic discipline, as well as scholarship, graduate school, and job application essays. Additionally, we support faculty to incorporate robust writing instruction through programs such as embedded tutoring and faculty writing fellows.
Egan Library Children's Alaskana Collection: This collection includes Alaska-related books for children and young adults. Much of the collection has been donated by Alaska College of Education faculty member Katy Spangler. This outstanding collection, now with over 1800 titles, is a unique resource for UAS education programs.
