For 49 Hours:
Give, Share, Celebrate!
Meet Moses Wiseman:
Moses Wiseman, hailing from Chefornak, Alaska, was in the Della Keats Health Sciences Summer Program with WWAMI, which propelled rising 11th and 12th-grade students into careers in health care. The program also recruited underrepresented students, focusing on those who live “off-road” in Alaska’s rural and remote communities.
Wiseman commented on the program, “Not only did the Della Keats program help me decide what field I wanted to go in, it helped me with slowly adjusting to going into college.”
Despite past successes, funding for the program has been inconsistent, and the Della Keats Program was paused in 2018. Right now, they are fundraising to bring the program back. The Annual Fund for Excellence, made possible by donors like you, awarded $10,000 to the Della Keats Program.
We hope you will consider giving to the Annual Fund for Excellence, which supports the highest current institutional priorities. Among other priorities, the fund helps advance student success, recruitment and retention efforts as well as diversity, equity and inclusion programs and initiatives.
