At UAA's College of Engineering, our mission is to educate and inspire, and explore innovative solutions that engage Alaska and beyond. For prospective undergraduate students, we have a slate of accredited engineering programs, which means the curriculum meets standards expected by industry. Our Master's degrees prepare students for advanced technical work in industry or to conduct specialized research. For aspiring engineers, we offer summer camps, tours of our facility, lectures, competitions, and other outreach activities.

Student retention and recruitment are critical priorities for the University of Alaska. In support of these efforts—and in honor of her child, a graduate of UAA’s College of Business and Public Policy—UA President Pat Pitney will contribute $2,000 to CBPP if 449 UAA alumni make a gift to any UAA fund during UA Giving Day. Every gift helps strengthen pathways for current and future students.

To celebrate the efforts of UA Giving Day Champions spreading the word about their favorite programs this UA Giving Day, the 1000th new donor will win a $1000 mini-grant. The mini-grant will be directed to the same University of Alaska initiative that the winner donated to.
