Cheryl Siemers began her role as interim chancellor of the University of Alaska Anchorage on May 16, 2025, succeeding Chancellor Sean Parnell. Chancellor Siemers has worked for UAA and the UAA Kenai Peninsula College for more than 20 years, starting as an adjunct and later full-time faculty member before becoming the assistant KPC director and, finally, campus director.
