Your gift to the Museum of the North and Planetarium inspires curiosity, learning and wonder for visitors of all ages. Contributions support engaging exhibits, educational programs and immersive planetarium experiences that connect communities to Alaska’s art, culture, history and science. Together, we’re sparking discovery and creating a place where everyone can explore, learn and be inspired.

  • Museum Annual Fund: Support the museum's efforts to illuminate the natural history and cultural heritage of Alaska and the North through collections, research, education and partnerships.
  • Museum Education Enhancement: Support UA Museum of the North educational programs such as K-12 field trips, family activities, events and statewide outreach to connect the public with Alaska's science, arts, history and cultures.
  • UAMN Planetarium Excellence: Support the ongoing excellence of the Walt and Marita Babula Planetarium at the UA Museum of the North, the future farthest-north planetarium in North America. Gifts help fund programming, operations, capital needs, and other priorities as determined by the Museum Director.

Stephanie Erickson, University of Alaska Foundation board member, challenges Alaska's engineers to be part of the solution. To represent 75% of alumni staying in Alaska long-term, when we reach 750 donors to any program or scholarship, Stephanie will donate $2,000, split between UAA College of Engineering and UAF College of Engineering and Mines.
