At the College of Engineering and Mines, we are producing Alaskan workforce leaders. Our graduates are skilled not only in working with calculations, but also skilled at working with real people on real projects. That is one critical reason why our graduates take great pride in their CEM degrees, and one reason why Alaskan employers seek out CEM graduates.
CEM seeks your help in supporting the CEM Engineering Action Fund. Gifts are used to foster the rich environment required for co-curricular activities to prosper. Your gift to the Engineering Action Fund will help us help the students to follow their professional passions, and in the end, produce an increasing number of Alaskan workforce leaders.
The CEM Engineering Action Fund
The College of Engineering and Mines support fund enhances the educational experiences of CEM students. It provides support for student-led activities including career-development organizations (e.g., Society of Women Engineers), discipline-specific professional organizations (e.g., Society for Mining, Metallurgy & Exploration), competitive activities (e.g., steel bridge), honor societies (e.g., Tau Beta Pi), outreach events (e.g., Engineering Open House), undergraduate research, and a host of other critical skill-building activities not generally supported by tuition or course fees.
