The College of Natural Science and Mathematics houses the College of Education, K-12 Outreach and is the primary science college at UAF. The science departments have over 120 faculty and 25 support staff. The college is highly collaborative with the majority of the faculty holding joint appointments in research institutes and other colleges within UAF. We offer bachelor's degrees in 10 disciplines, 17 master's degrees, 14 Ph.D. degrees, and a collaborative DVM degree.
Through instruction and mentoring the College of Natural Science & Mathematics promotes students’ self-motivation to excel and guides them towards professional careers and public service in an environment of life-long learning. Through research, the college advances knowledge of natural, physical, technological and numerical systems from a northern perspective.
