The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) is the largest university in the state, with its largest campus located in Anchorage and four community campuses and extension sites spread throughout Southcentral Alaska.

Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) has locations throughout the Kenai Peninsula and comprises the Kenai River Campus in Soldotna, Kachemak Bay Campus in Homer, Resurrection Bay Extension Site in Seward and the Anchorage Extension Site at the University Center. KPC offers two-year A.A. and A.A.S. degrees, as well as providing career and technical programs. The college also offers programs leading to baccalaureate degrees and many other four-year degree programs available via distance delivery at KPC.

Kodiak College offers nine academic degree programs as well as industry certificates and vocational training in high-demand workforce areas. Kodiak College has state-of-the-art technology, academic support and counseling and a dynamic, professional faculty. Classes are offered in-person, by distance delivery, and in compressed or hybrid formats for convenience.

The Matanuska-Susitna College (MSC) main campus is located on a 950-acre site between Palmer and Wasilla. A modern 100,000-plus square foot facility houses the majority of educational activities. MSC offers a general program for the first two years of courses leading to the A.A. degree as well as courses leading to several A.A.S. degrees. The college also offers vocational programs, professional development courses and provides selected college-level classes to area high school students through Tech Prep, Academic Concurrent Enrollment and districtwide course agreements with Mat-Su Borough School District.

Prince William Sound College (PWSC) is located in the historic community of Valdez, with extensions in Cordova and the Copper Basin. PWSC serves a geographic area of more than 44,000 square miles. PWSC provides many academic and training curricular tracks and a number of nontraditional special interest courses for students and community members to practice lifelong learning.
