Thank you for supporting UAA Chancellor’s Priorities during our first UA Giving Day 2020! You can still make a gift to support UAA by visiting: engage.alaska.edu/uaa
UAA is proud to be part of UA Giving Day 2020 and to welcome friends old and new to support our #UAAmazing students and the incredible scholarship and research happening across our campuses.
Just as our students have a variety of options in their areas of study, so do our supporters in choosing where to invest. As always, you can give directly to your favorite college or program (select the college/area from our main UAA Giving Day page).
You can also support campuswide priorities, which have a broader impact across our student population. These include:
● Innovation and excellence: Gifts to the Annual Fund provide critical investment in priority projects and programs across campus, such as emerging learning technologies and pedagogies.
● Student scholarships: This General Scholarship fund provides important financial support — often over multiple years — to bridge financial gaps and ensure students cross the finish line.
● Diversity, Equity and Inclusion: Gifts to this Excellence fund will support efforts to recruit and retain under-represented students, staff and faculty, enhance employee resources and support groups, and launch community partnerships.
● Emergency relief: The Student Support fund offers relief to students experiencing a financial emergency due to unexpected events.
● Undergraduate research: Gifts to the University Honors fund support student success and excellence in a wide variety of undergraduate research opportunities.
● Research and creative activity: Gifts to the new Research and Creativity Excellence fund benefit faculty and students working with faculty on important projects across campus.
● Civil Discourse and Debate: Gifts to the Excellence in Debate fund support the acclaimed Seawolf Debate program, which promotes public discourse for UAA students and the larger Alaska community.
