Thank you for supporting the Alaska College of Education during our first UA Giving Day 2020! You can still make a gift to support UAS by visiting: engage.alaska.edu/uas
The UAS College of Education offers programs to meet the needs of aspiring teachers and to help prepare them and to also help those who have already become teachers. Working cooperatively with P–12 schools and the community, faculty of the Alaska College of Education at the University of Alaska Southeast identify, prepare and strengthen effective teachers for sustained contributions to the education profession in rural and urban settings in Alaska and the nation.
By supporting and giving to the College of Education, you can help prepare the next generation of Alaska's teachers.
By giving to the PITAAS (Preparing Indigenous Teacher & Administrators for Alaska Schools) program, you can help the next generation of Alaska Native Teachers. The PITAAS program has grown to include many services designed to meet its goals: more Alaska Native Teachers and administrators in Alaska schools, preschool, through high school.
By giving to the Teacher's Excellence Fund, you can help provide support for the University of Alaska College of Education centered at UAS. Expenditures from this fund may include but are not limited to student scholarships, curriculum development, practicum support, marketing, communications, professional development, travel, etc
